Compatibility notes
What Waliz can and can't do.
Waliz is experimental and version-dependent. It changes the artwork your iPhone shows for compatible cards and passes. It is not an Apple feature, and it does not change your card number, payment credentials or bank rules.
At a glance
| Item | What Waliz does | What Waliz never does |
|---|---|---|
| Artwork of a Wallet card | Applies your design locally on your iPhone, from your Mac, after you confirm. | Promise that a look survives every iOS update. |
| Payment card in Apple Pay | Changes how it looks on your own device only. | Touch the card, its tokens, payments or your bank's controls. |
| Third-party passes | Lets you preview a look for your own use. | Edit someone else's pass on their behalf or reuse their brand. |
Tested versions
We only list versions we have tested on real devices. If your iOS version is not listed, Waliz Helper tells you and writes nothing.
The tested device matrix will be published with the first Waliz Helper release.
After an Apple update
iOS updates can change how Wallet stores artwork. Your custom look may disappear, or Waliz may pause until the new version is validated. Your designs stay in your exports, ready to re-apply.
Good to know
- Wallet draws its own marks (issuer, network, card name) over the artwork. Keep key details away from the edges.
- The preview shows your design. The final look depends on the iOS version and the targeted pass.
- Use only images you have the right to use. Bank and network logos are their owners' property.
